§ MR. DILLON (Mayo, E.)To ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies, 782 whether he can state what was the rate of pay for native labour on the Rand in 1899 before the war, and what is the present rate.
(Answered by Mr. Secretary Chamberlain.) I understand that the rate of pay has been considerably reduced, but I have no official information of the figures.
