HC Deb 06 August 1902 vol 112 c781
MR. BECKETT (Yorkshire, N.R, Whitby)

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether he intends to take any steps to carry out the recommendations of the Committee on the education and training of officers of the Army, especially in regard to the changes they desire to see made in the entrance examination; and whether he can see his way to recommend the immediate adoption of the syllabus of subjects proposed for the antecedent education of Army candidates.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Brodrick.) The recommendations of this Committee are of great importance and are being carefully considered; but the pressure of work in regard to demobilisation has been very great, and I am not yet in a position to make any statement on the subject.
