MR. LLOYD MORGAN (Carmarthenshire, W.)
To ask the President of the Board of Agriculture whether he will state under what authority is the Rabies Order of 1st July, 1902, issued, which prescribes the muzzling, inclosing, or 666 chaining of healthy dogs on their owners' premises between sunset and sunrise; and whether it is proposed to enforce this order by domiciliary visits of the police.
(Answered by Mr. Hanbury.) The order is made under the authority of Section 22 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1894. The enforcement of the order rests with the local authority.
