§ MR. SHEEHAN (Cork Co., Mid.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he will state the reasons why the additional halt-acre scheme has not been proceeded with by the Cork Rural District Council, and the matters in connection with this scheme which require adjustment.
§ MR. WYNDHAMThe Local Government Board is unable to explain the omission of the District Council to take action. The Council is aware that the Provisional Order cannot issue until the Board has been supplied with the requisite maps and consents of the parties interested, and until arrangements have been made to deal satisfactorily with a number of instances of irregular tenancies of existing cottages.
