I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether he can now arrange for the management and control of Kew Gardens to be transferred from the Office of Works to the Board of Agriculture.

Perhaps I may be allowed to reply to this Question. Yes, Sir, this transfer will in all probability be carried out shortly. The Treasury has been in communication with all the Departments concerned and a small Committee will now be appointed to work out the details of the transfers.
