§ MR. SWIFT MACNEILLI beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether he will state what facilities, if any, were offered to Lord Wolseley on the occasion of his recent visit to South Africa, having regard to the fact that he was Commander-in-Chief of the British Army in the early period of the South African War and his position as a military historian, to visit the scenes of the operations in South Africa, during the period of his supreme command of the British Army.
§ MR. BRODRICKMay I refer the hon. Member to the answer given to a Question put by the hon. Member for South Leitrim on March 18th, to which I have nothing to add.†
§ MR. SWIFT MACNEILLMy Question now is whether any facilities were offered to Lord Wolseley to visit the battlefields. Will the right hon. Gentleman answer "Yes" or "No"?

§ MR. SWIFT MACNEILLThen I will put this Question—Was Lord Wolseley refused facilities to visit the battlefields?
† See preceding volume, p. 317.
§ MR. BRODRICKThe answer is covered by what I said before.
§ MR. SWIFT MACNEILLThen I beg to give notice that—
