I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War if he is aware that in the Army List for April it doe, not appear that the officers of the Active Service Companies of Volunteers, attached to regular battalions in the field, have been granted the honorary rank in the Army accorded to those who served with the City Imperial Volunteers and the Imperial Yeomanry in South Africa; and whether he will provide that this honorary rank be now granted to these officers, as promised on more than one

The list of officers to be granted honorary rank is being prepared, and it hoped that they will shortly be gazetted.
