I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether he can inform the House as to the conditions of peace offered to the Boer leaders at the Conference held in Pretoria.

I have nothing to add to the

Town, Durban, or elsewhere respectively, including arrival at and departure from intermediate port of call; the number of troops and horses or mules carried on each occasion, the number of horses or mules lost on voyage, vessels provided with new pattern fittings, vessels provided with old pattern fittings, vessels provided with slings for each horse or mule, vessels not so provided; and the time occupied by each vessel in making the voyage, in the following form—

information which I gave the House on Friday last on the subject.

But if the Boer commandoes are informed of the conditions of peace, why cannot the information be given to this House?
