HC Deb 21 April 1902 vol 106 c803
MR. MALCOLM

I beg to ask the Financial Secretary to the War Office if he will state in how many colonies or dependencies of the Empire there exist horse-breeding establishments, or depôts under Government supervision, to supply the Army of the Empire with remounts; and whether, in the light of recent events, it is proposed to increase the number of such stations.

LORD STANLEY

There are no such depôts. The whole question as to the best way of providing remounts in the future is under consideration, and this particular point will be dealt with among others.
