HC Deb 21 April 1902 vol 106 c817
MR. BRYCE

I beg to ask the Leader of the House what business will be taken on Thursday and Friday.

MR. A. J. BALFOUR

I think that the time has come when we ought to make a determined effort to secure progress with the Rules, and I propose to take them on Thursday and Friday this week and on Monday and Tuesday next week. It may be for the convenience of the House now if I give notice that, in order, without difficulty, to fulfil the arrangement generally arrived at a few days ago, I intend to move the suspension of the Twelve o'clock Rule tomorrow. I do not think this need be taken to indicate that there will be a sitting after twelve, but it is quite clear under the arrangement that, if the Finance Bill is to be introduced tomorrow, it would be better to suspend the Twelve o'clock Rule.
