§ MR. O'MARA (Kilkenny, S.)I beg to ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will state the yield per penny of Income Tax in Ireland in the years 1901–1902, 1891–1892.
§ * SIR M. HICKS BEACHIn 1891–2, the yield per penny of Income Tax collected in Ireland, was approximately, £92,000. For 1901–02 the figures cannot yet be given, but for the year 1900–01 the figure was approximately £81,000. The diminution in yield is due to the abatements on small incomes accorded in 1894 and 1898.
