GIBSON BOWLESI beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether His Majesty's Government have any information showing that the Government of Russia contemplate taking steps to obtain a revision of the Treaties of 1841, 1856, and 1871, whereby the passage of the Bosphorus and Dardanelles is prohibited to Foreign ships of war, with a view of obtaining the removal of the prohibitions for Russian vessels of war only, and not for the vessels of other Powers parties to the Treaty; and if any Papers on the subject can be laid upon the Table.
