HC Deb 10 April 1902 vol 105 c1435
MR. CLANCY (Dublin Co., N.)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether he will state the total number of men of all branches of the Army sent to South Africa from the United Kingdom, the Colonies, and India since the commencement of the war to the 1st of the present month.

LORD STANLEY

A Return giving this information up to the 1st January was presented in February. I cannot undertake to publish another Return at present.

CAPTAIN DONELAN (Cork Co., E.)

Can the noble Lord say about what proportion of the men have been on active service in South Africa during the past two years?

LORD STANLEY

No, Sir, I am afraid I cannot.
