HC Deb 23 May 1901 vol 94 cc965-6
MR. GRAY (West Ham, N.)

I beg to ask the Vice President of the Committee of Council on Education whether his attention has been called to the fact that notice was published in Dover in December last that the Board of Education considered that 950 additional school places were required in that borough; and, seeing that numbers of children are unable to find accommodation in any one of the voluntary schools of the borough, whether he can state what steps are being taken to provide education for these children.

THE VICE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION (Sir J. GORST,) Cambridge University

Notice was issued as stated in the question, and the Board of Education are of opinion that the necessary accommodation is being supplied.
