I beg to ask the President of the Board of Agriculture if he will state in how many cases have the Board of Agriculture been asked to exercise, and have exercised, their powers of appointing an arbitrator or umpire to settle disputes between landlord and tenant under the provisions of the Second Schedule of the Agricultural Holdings Act, 1900.

Ten applications have been made to us to appoint arbitrators or umpires under the provisions of the Second Schedule to the Agricultural Holdings Act, 1900. Two of these applications were subsequently withdrawn. Appointments have been made in three cases.
