I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether Mr. W. Lane, a Cork brewer, has been appointed Inspector of Irish Fisheries in place of Mr. Cecil Roche, resigned; and, if so, will he state on whose recommendation Mr. Lane has been appointed, and what qualification, if any, he has for the position.
