HC Deb 16 May 1901 vol 94 c248
MR. BRYNMOR JONES (Swansea District)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether Colonel Gracey, R.E., has made his report upon the Uganda Railway; if so, whether he can now form an idea as to the date when the undertaking will be completed, and will he lay the Report upon the Table.

THE UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Viscount CRANBORNE, Rochester)

The Report referred to has been received, but not considered, by the Secretary of State, and therefore I am unable at present to answer the first part of the question. Perhaps the hon. Member would repeat it. Colonel Gracey anticipates that the rails will reach the lake by the end of October.
