§ MR. REDDYOn behalf of the hon. Member for East Galway I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he will state the amount of cost incurred by the Government in carrying out evictions on the Clanricarde estate since June, 1886, till 1900.
§ MR. WYNDHAMThe expenses incurred by the police in affording protection to the sheriff or his officers on this duty amounted to £3,523 in the period stated.
