HC Deb 13 May 1901 vol 93 c1464
MR. HARMSWORTH (Caithness)

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, as representing the Postmaster General, if he is aware that the township of Harpsdale, in the parish of Halkirk, Caithness, has only two postal deliveries in the course of the week, while other townships in the same parish have a daily post; and will he cause inquiry to be made with the view of providing a daily post for Harpsdale.

MR. AUSTEN CHAMBERLAIN

It is the case that letters are only delivered twice a week in the township of Harpsdale, Caithness. Inquiry is now being made with a view to ascertain whether a more frequent delivery is justified; and when the inquiry is completed the Postmaster General will lose no time in acquainting the hon. Member with the result.
