HC Deb 10 May 1901 vol 93 c1306
MR. SWIFT MACNEILL (Donegal, S.)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether the Premier of New Zealand has decided to include 100 Maori warriors in a new contingent which is to be sent by New Zealand to the seat of war in South Africa; and whether having regard to the character of the Maoris, the War Office will refuse to accept the services of the Maori contingent.

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR WAR (Mr. BRODRICK, Surrey, Guildford)

I am not aware of any such decision.
