HC Deb 09 May 1901 vol 93 c1141
MR. BRYNMOR JONES (Swansea District)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether the Members of the Volunteer Corps of the Welsh Regiment who have served in and recently returned from South Africa were discharged from active service on 3rd May; whether their pay ceased on 28th April; if so, why are not they to receive pay until the date of their discharge; and why are they not accorded treatment similar to that accorded to the City Imperial Volunteers.

LORD STANLEY

These Volunteers have been paid up to the 3rd May, and not up to the 28th April only, as stated by the hon. Member in the question. In reply to the third paragraph of the question, it is not clear to what the hon. Member refers.
