HC Deb 07 May 1901 vol 93 c963
MR. M'GOVERN

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, as representing the Postmaster General, whether he is aware that the Great Northern Railway of Ireland conveys the night mails for Cavan and Belturbet to Clones, and that the mails are taken off the train at Clones and conveyed to Cavan and Belturbet by cars, although the Great Northern Railway have lines to both these towns, and can he say what reason exists why the night mails should not be conveyed by train instead of by cars to both these towns.

MR. AUSTEN CHAMBERLAIN

The Postmaster General will have inquiry made, and he will communicate the result to the hon. Member as soon as possible.
