§ MR. WILLIAM REDMONDI beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether it is intended to appoint any colonial lords of appeal as proposed some time ago in connection with the Australian Commonwealth Bill, and whether any negotiations are at present proceeding between His Majesty's Government and the Commonwealth Government in reference to colonial appeals.
§ MR. J. CHAMBERLAINThe question has formed the subject of recent correspondence with the Commonwealth Government, and also, with the Governments of the other colonies concerned; and it is hoped that a Conference will be held before long in this country on the subject.
