HC Deb 02 May 1901 vol 93 c445
*MR. CONOR O'KELLY

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, as President of the Congested Districts Board, whether he can state the cause of the failure of the Congested Districts Board in their negotiations for the purchase of the farm at Bally glass, Claremorris, county Mayo, owned by the representatives of the late P. W. Raftery, of Claremorris; and whether the Board are willing to reopen negotiations for the purchase of the said arm.

MR. WYNDHAM

The representatives were not disposed to sell the land. If a fresh offer were made to the Board it would be considered.
