I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland if he can say how many industrial schools were in existence in Ireland on the 31st December, 1900, and how many children were under detention therein.

Seventy schools and 8,222 children.

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he will state how many boys and girls were admitted to Irish industrial schools in the year ending 31st December, 1900.
