HC Deb 02 May 1901 vol 93 c432
MR. OSMOND-WILLIAMS

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade whether he can undertake to have the amount of slates imported into the United Kingdom entered in future in tons instead of prices, as at present, as no reliable data can be given by enumerating the absolute number of slates entered, as there is small means of ascertaining whether they are large or small slates.

MR. GERALD BALFOUR

The suggestion of the hon. Member will be duly considered by the Departmental Committee for the Revision of Trade Accounts which meets in the autumn. It is not practicable to introduce changes into the Monthly Trade Accounts during the course of the year.
