§ MR. WEIRI beg to ask the Secretary of State for War, seeing that in the Civil Service Supplementary Estimates there is a charge of £35,000 for expenses of the funeral of Her late Majesty, out of which the War Office claims £15,000 for travelling expenses, food, and accommodation for troops, will he state how much of this sum was expended in connection with the Volunteers from Scotland who attended the funeral at the invitation of the War Office.
LORD STANLEYThe cost was estimated at £1,400. I cannot give the exact expenditure on each corps without going into details, the interest of which would not justify the labour of their collection.
