§ MR. JAMES O'CONNOR (Wicklow, W.)I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade if he can state the total of the Government grants to Peterhead Harbour, also the total of the Government grants to Holyhead Harbour.
§ MR. GEEALD BALFOURThe total expenditure upon Holyhead Harbour from the year 1855 to the 31st March, 1900, was £ 1,611,360. As regards Peterhead Harbour, I am informed by the Admiralty that the total of the Government grants to the Harbour works from their commencement in 1885–1886 to 1900–1901, both inclusive, amounts to £426,360, and that the expenditure during that period has been £398,000.
