That they have come to the following resolution, viz.:— That it is desirable that a Select Committee be appointed to join with Committee of the House of Commons to consider and report:—

  1. 1. Whether the lines of route for underground railways in and near London, proposed by Bills which have been or may be introduced during the present Session, are best calculated to afford facilities for present and probable return traffic; and, if not, what modifications of those lines of route are desirable;
  2. 2.What special provision, if any, should be made for the protection of the owners, lessees, and occupiers of properties adjacent to underground railways from possible damage and annoyance;
  3. 3. What special terms and conditions, if any, as to the construction and working should be imposed upon the promoters;
  4. 4. Whether any, and which, of the schemes proposed by the said Rills should not be proceeded with during the present Session."
