HC Deb 25 June 1901 vol 95 cc1391-2
MR. LLOYD-GEORGE (Carnarvon Boroughs)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether he can give the House any information as to the number of Boers (both invaders and rebels) now in Cape Colony.

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR WAR (Mr. BRODRICK, Surrey, Guild-ford)

From the latest information there would appear to be between 1,000 and 2,000 men in arms against us in Cape Colony.
