HENNIKER HEATON (Canterbury)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War, in view of the discussion on the question of the events in connection therewith, whether there is any objection to correct plans of Spion Kop and the neighbourhood of Spion Kop being issued and laid before Parliament; and whether maps were made by a thoroughly equipped party, including Royal Engineers, under Lieutenant Skip-with; if so, are these or copies of them in the War Office.
§ THE FINANCIAL SECRETARY TO THE WAR OFFICE (Lord STANLEY, Lancashire, Westhoughton)Surveys are being made of the neighbourhood, and I think we must wait for them before issuing detailed plans of any particular district.
