HC Deb 11 June 1901 vol 97 c84
MR. HARMSWORTH

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether it is the intention of the Board of Admiralty to improve the quality and increase the quantity of the rations issued to the bluejackets and stokers of the Royal Navy.

* MR. ARNOLD-FORSTER

The Report of the Victualling Committee, which has dealt with the subject referred to in the question, will shortly be presented to Parliament. The Report makes various recommendations with respect to the point raised by the hon. Member, but I am not yet in a position to state what are the exact steps which the Admiralty will think it desirable to take upon such recommendations.
