HC Deb 11 June 1901 vol 97 c111
MR. NANNETTI (Dublin, College Green)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he has yet received any answer to his inquiries from the Commissioners of Education to the charges made by the Bookbinders' Society of Dublin as to the manner in which Messrs. Leckie and Company carry out their contract for the supplying of school books to the Notional Board; and, if so, will he convey their replies to the House.

MR. WYNDHAM

No, Sir; the matter is still before the Commissioners. I hope to be in a position shortly to make a definite announcement on the subject, as I understand it is on the agenda paper for the next meeting of the Board.

MR. NANNETTI

May I remind the right hon. Gentleman that I put a question on this matter six months ago?

MR. WYNDHAM

I regret the delay. I am in correspondence with the Commissioners on this and other matters.
