W.)I beg to ask the President of the 1466 Local Government Board whether, in the event of the purchase of the London water companies under his proposed Bill, he will take steps to prevent the continuance of the system under which an increased rent for the use of water is charged on those houses where the rates have been increased under the quinquennial re-assessments, although no increased supply nor any alteration whatever in the supply may have taken place.
