I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that several manufacturing firms whose manufactures found a market mainly in America have emigrated to the United States to start their business in that country; and whether he will cause inquiries to be made upon this subject.

I have no official information to the effect stated in the question, but it is not unusual for factories or branches to be established abroad by British enterprise, and I see no reason for a special inquiry into the matter.
