HC Deb 18 July 1901 vol 97 cc844-5
MR. FIELD

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that the first list of Griffith's Valuation for Belfast, in the year 1860, was printed and published by the Government in one volume, which could be obtained by the ratepayers; and will he state why that precedent has not been followed on the present occasion of a new valuation; and will he order the publication in a similar way of the present valuation lists for that city, having regard to the fact that, owing to the number of appeals arising from the new valuations, such publication will be a convenience to ratepayers concerned.

MR. WYNDHAM

I have nothing to add to my replies to the similar inquiries addressed to me by the hon. Member on the 30th April last.†
