HC Deb 18 July 1901 vol 97 c858
MR. WILLIAM REDMOND

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, as representing the Postmaster General, if he can state the reason for the delay in establishing telegraphic communication between New Quay and Bally-vaughan, county Clare.

MR AUSTEN CHAMBERLAIN

A guarantee was given in May for a telegraph office at Burrin, the office to which it is understood the hon. Member refers. Delay has been caused by difficulties in regard to way leave, but it is hoped that the matter will shortly be settled, and the extension will then be proceeded with as rapidly as possible.
