I beg to ask the Vice-President of the Committee of Council on Education whether he can say when the school year begins under the new Minute of evening schools.

The school year will begin as from 1st August next, but the actual session of any evening school may commence on any date suggested by the managers and approved by the Board of Education, but must terminate on or before the succeeding 31st July.
