BILL (Staffordshire, Leek)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that some of the Militia battalions which have now been serving for nearly eighteen months in South Africa are now under-officered, owing chiefly to transfers to the Line, and what steps he proposes to take to bring these regiments up to a full state of efficiency.
