§ MR. WILLIAM M'KILLOPI beg to ask Mr. Attorney General for Ireland can he state in how many cases within the five years ending 30th June, 1901, have appeals been made from the decisions of the county court judge of Sligo, and in how many cases have the decisions of his honour been upheld on appeal.
§ THE ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR IRELAND (Mr. ATKINSON,) Londonderry, N.I am informed that 560 appeals were taken against the decisions of the county court judge in the period mentioned, of which 419 were upheld and 141 were reversed. I beg to remind the hon. Member that these appeals are rehearings, on which additional evidence may be given, as of right, and almost invariably is given by both parties.
