O'MARA (Kilkenny, S.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether, in view of the fact that during the quarter ending 31st December, 1900, the number of eviction notices filed in the county courts of Ulster was 46 per cent, of the number of all Ireland, he will consider the expediency of repealing Section 7 of the Land Law (Ireland) Act, 1887.
§ MR. WYNDHAMThe number of eviction notices filed in the county courts in Ulster in the last December quarter was 145, out of a total of 310 throughout Ireland, or a percentage on the latter of 46. I cannot hold out any hope of legislation in the direction suggested.
§ MR. O'MARAIs this percentage so large because of the sympathy that exists between the Government and the Ulster Members?
