HC Deb 25 February 1901 vol 89 cc1038-9
MR. BELL (Derby)

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade if he has received the report of the inspecting officer who held the inquiry into the cause of the accident which occurred at Swan- ley Junction, South-Eastern and Chatham and Dover Railway, on 23rd November last, through failure of the automatic brake; if not, can he expedite it in any way, so that the engine-drivers concerned, who have been suspended since the date of the accident, and whose wages have been stopped, may learn their position without further delay.

MR. GERALD BALFOUR

Yes, Sir; the report in question is now passing through the press, and will be issued in a day or two.
