DILLONI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland if he can state how many police were brought into Foxford on the 1st January, 1901, and what was the total cost of police operations in connection with the suppression of the meeting announced to be held in Foxford on that day.
§ MR. WYNDHAMThe police force brought into Foxford on the occasion mentioned consisted: of seven officers and 204 men. The expenses of this concentration amounted to £159, of which a sum of £5 will be charged to the local rates.
