HC Deb 17 August 1901 vol 99 c1300
*SIR ALBERT ROLLIT (Islington, S.)

I beg to ask the Vice-President of the Board of Education whether the Elementary School Teachers' Bill, relating to the tenure of office by teachers, and in which both teachers and educationists take the greatest interest, having been withdrawn late last night, it will be introduced again early next session.

THE VICE-PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION (Sir J. GORST, Cambridge University)

I am afraid I am not in a position to give any pledge as to the legislation for next session. The matter will, no doubt, receive the attention of His Majesty's Government.
