HC Deb 16 August 1901 vol 99 cc1181-2
MR. KENDAL O'BRIEN (Tipperary, Mid)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether his attention has been called to the circumstances attending the death of James Brennan, who was arrested by two members of the Royal Irish Constabulary on Monday last at Thurles, and so badly treated by them that death, it is alleged, resulted from the injuries inflicted.

MR. WYNDHAML

said he had only received the notice since he entered the House. He had no information, but would make full inquiry and communicate the result to the hon. Gentleman.
