DALY (Monaghan, S.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that an opinion exists amongst the boards of guardians in Ireland that amalgamation of unions would be conducive to saving of the rates, and whether he will inquire the opinion of the Local Government Board inspectors on this matter.
§ MR. WYNDHAMThe general question of the amalgamation of unions is engaging the attention of the Board, and the opinions of the inspectors will be ascertained and considered.
