EDWARD BARRY (Cork Co., S.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that a Major Cronsdale has recently acted as Land Commissioner in Skibbereen, and can he state how many farms were personally inspected by him on the occasion, and in how many of these cases was he present at the hearing of the evidence in Court.
§ MR. WYNDHAMI believe the fact is as stated in the first part of the question. In the absence, however, of Major Cronsdale, who is at present on leave of absence, I am unable to reply to the remainder of the question.
