COLONEL WELBYI beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether
* See page 602.1303 he will insert in his resolution on Army Organisation the title "Imperial" before "Yeomanry," to afford opportunity of discussing the appropriateness of that title for a force enlisted for the local defence of the United Kingdom, and not for Imperial, purposes.
§ MR. BRODRICKThe resolution is intended to provide opportunity for discussion of the numbers, cost, and organisation of the forces proposed, and I hardly think it would be desirable to divert attention from these important questions by amending the resolution so as to make occasion for a debate on the title proposed for the Yeomanry.
§ * MR. BRODRICKI did not say that. I only suggested that there were other matters of greater importance.
