HC Deb 02 April 1901 vol 92 c484
MR. O'MALLEY (Galway, Connemara)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether, in view of the importance to the proper development of the fishing industry in Connemara it is that a pier or harbour should be constructed in Clifden Bay, which is in close proximity to the railway terminus, he will urge upon the Congested Districts Board and the Irish Board of Works the desirability of constructing such pier or harbour as soon as possible; and whether he is aware of the representations that have frequently been made upon this matter to his predecessors in office.

THE CHIEF SECRETARY FOR IRELAND (Mr. WYNDHAM,) Dover

The question of the construction of a pier near Clifden is engaging the attention of the Congested Districts Board.
