§ MR. LOUGH (Islington, W.)I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of the fact that representatives of the railway companies have expressed themselves willing to give favourable consideration to the proposal for greater travelling facilities for workmen, the Railway Department of the Board of Trade is willing to approach all the companies with a view of inducing them to arrange for the issue of cheap tickets for bonâ fide workmen from suburban stations by all trains arriving at their destination before 8 a.m.
§ MR. RITCHIEHaving regard to the promise of consideration to which the hon. Gentleman refers, I do not doubt that the matter will be considered by the railway companies.
